Company Overview
Snow Park Technologies (SPT™) was founded on a simple premise: to build and maintain the most progressive and innovative terrain park offerings in the world of snowsports. Without straying from this original goal, SPT™ has grown from two friends building the very first Winter X Games courses in 1997, to consulting for over fifteen of the top ski resorts in North America, building the courses for the biggest events in snowboarding and skiing all over the world, designing and building features for top athlete projects, providing sport organizing services to ESPN and offering a full range of snow shaping tools. The SPT team is a collection of the most experienced and talented freestyle park and pipe innovators in the world, whose dedication and passion for snowsports has redefined the winter landscape and what is possible on snow.
SPT™ has designed and built over 250 competition courses, including: all of the Winter X Games and Winter X Games Europe courses, the Winter Dew Tour, the Burton US Open and the Vans Triple Crown, among others. In addition to course designs and builds, SPT™ has added sport organizing as a new line of business, and has taken over the snowboard sport organizing role for all ESPN winter events. Another growing sector of SPT’s portfolio has been industry and athlete projects, which have included collaborative projects, such as Red Bull’s Shaun White Project X and the Simon Dumont Cube Pipe. Outside of special projects and events, SPT™ also works with some of the top resorts in the United States to provide terrain park and action sports consulting services. Together with SPT™, these resorts are home to the highest quality and most innovative terrain parks around, offering every level of terrain park imaginable: from the Burton Progression Park, to the Burton Stash and Forum’s The Streets, to iconic jib and jumplines. To complement the Resort Partner Program, SPT™ also has built out a dedicated jib fabrication shop, called the Jib Factory™ – where jibs for both partner resorts and events are conceptualized and manufactured – along with the design and fabrication of a line of snow shaping tools.
